Our mission
Every person deserves to be seen accurately. Not through the lens of a decade-old arrest record, a data broker's incomplete file, or a social media post taken out of context. Vettadex exists to ensure the internet reflects who you actually are, and removes everything that does not.

The problem
The internet remembers everything. Most of it is wrong.
Data brokers collect and sell your personal information without your knowledge or consent. Mugshot sites profit from publishing arrest records that were never prosecuted. Search engines index content that is years out of date. Background check services pull from databases that haven't been updated since 2019.
The average person has their home address listed on 23 data broker sites, at least one page of damaging or inaccurate search results, and content online they forgot existed. Most people find out only when something goes wrong — a job offer falls through, a client goes quiet, or a background check surfaces something unexpected.

guide every decision.
Accuracy over quantity
We will never flag a finding we are not confident belongs to you. Incorrectly attributing someone else's content to our user is a more serious failure than missing a real result. Our identity verification system exists specifically to prevent this.
Your data stays yours
We collect only what is necessary to run your scans. We do not sell your personal information, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it to build advertising profiles. Your data is used for one purpose: finding and removing content that shouldn't be online.
Transparency in everything
We show you exactly what we found, exactly where we found it, and exactly what we did about it. No vague status messages. Every finding includes the source URL, the specific content, and the removal action taken.
No false promises
Some content cannot be removed. Government court records, legitimate journalism, and content protected by the First Amendment fall into this category. We will tell you clearly when something falls into that category and explain your options rather than pretending a problem does not exist.

Handling personal data is a serious responsibility. Security is built into the architecture of Vettadex, not added on top of it.

Row-level security
Every database query is scoped to the authenticated user. It is architecturally impossible for one user to access another user's data, even if our application code contained a bug.

Encrypted in transit
All traffic between your browser and Vettadex is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. We enforce HTTPS on every request with no unencrypted fallback.

Secure by default
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. Email confirmation is required on signup. Sessions expire and require re-authentication.

No hardcoded secrets
API keys and credentials are stored in environment variables on isolated servers, not in our codebase. Our repositories contain no live credentials.
