DMCA Policy

01
Overview

Vettadex respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This page describes our policy for responding to claims of copyright infringement and explains how to submit a valid takedown notice or counter-notice.

If you believe that content appearing on the Vettadex platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent using the contact information below.

02
What Vettadex does — and does not — host

Vettadex is a reputation intelligence and removal service. Our platform does not host user-generated content, news articles, social media posts, court records, or data broker listings. We scan publicly available sources and report findings to our users.

If you are seeking removal of content that appears on a third-party website — a news outlet, social media platform, data broker, or mugshot site — Vettadex is not the appropriate party to contact. You should contact the hosting platform directly, or create a Vettadex account so we can submit removal requests on your behalf.

DMCA notices to Vettadex are appropriate only for content that is directly hosted on vettadex.com — such as blog articles, documentation, or marketing materials.

03
Submitting a takedown notice

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, your written notice must include all of the following:

  • Your identification: Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, including the URL where the original work can be found (if applicable).
  • Identification of the infringing material: The specific URL on vettadex.com where the allegedly infringing material is located.
  • Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
  • Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Notices that are incomplete or do not meet these requirements will not be processed. Please be aware that submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

04
Submitting a counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of a mistaken or misidentified claim, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any judicial district if outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed content after 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

05
Repeat infringer policy

In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law, Vettadex maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

06
Are you looking to remove your personal information?

If you found your personal information — home address, phone number, mugshot, court record, or other data — published on a third-party website and want it removed, a DMCA notice to Vettadex is not the right path.

Vettadex exists specifically to help with this. We submit opt-out requests, DMCA notices, CCPA deletion demands, and legal escalations to the sites that are actually hosting your information — on your behalf, automatically.

Start a scan to see what's out there, then we'll handle the removals.
