How long does a full scan take?
A full scan typically completes in 8 to 15 minutes depending on how many social handles and addresses you have on file. The scan runs across Google, 50+ data broker sites, social media platforms, dark web breach databases, and news archives. You will receive an email report when it finishes.
Why does my reputation score seem low?
A lower score usually means your personal information is visible on data broker sites, there are old social media posts that could be damaging, or there is content in news archives or public records tied to your name. The score is calculated across five weighted categories. Visit your Findings page to see exactly what is affecting it and what action to take.
How long do data broker removals take?
Most data broker opt-outs are processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on the site. Under CCPA, California-based brokers are legally required to respond within 45 days. We submit requests automatically and verify removal on your next scan. Sites that do not comply are flagged for manual follow-up.
Will data brokers re-list me after removal?
Yes — most data brokers continuously ingest new data from public records, voter registration databases, and marketing lists. Re-listing typically happens within 3 to 6 months. This is why weekly monitoring and recurring opt-out submissions are the core of what Vettadex does, not a one-time scrub.
What does the dark web monitoring cover?
We monitor your email address against HaveIBeenPwned, which tracks known data breaches and paste sites. If your email appears in a breach, we show you the name of the breach, approximate exposure date, and what type of data was compromised. We do not have access to the actual breach data — only confirmation of whether your email appeared in a known incident.
Can Vettadex remove criminal records or arrest records?
Vettadex can help with several types of arrest record removal. For mugshot sites, we generate formal legal removal letters citing state statutes and submit them on your behalf. For content on Google, we submit deindex requests. For actual court records, removal typically requires a formal expungement through the court — we can generate a DMCA letter for sites republishing the record, but cannot file legal paperwork on your behalf. How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from your Plan & Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain full access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.
Why is my scan showing findings for a different person with my name?
Common names occasionally produce false positives despite our identity verification system. If a finding is clearly about a different person, you can flag it from the Findings page and we will exclude it from future scans. Adding your location, date of birth, employer, and social handles in Settings significantly improves accuracy and reduces noise from namesakes.
